Australia’s emergency services celebrate their 40 millionth managed incident using Capita CAD software supported by Fujitsu

Across Australia, emergency service organisations have been using Vision, Capita’s Command and Control software, supported by Fujitsu, for over 20 years. During a recent customer User Group, bringing representatives from these organisations together in NSW, Capita celebrated over 40 million incidents and 20 million emergency 000 calls being managed by the Emergency Services using the Capita software.

‘We are so proud of the results we’re seeing from our network of customers across Australia. These statistics really demonstrate the impact our software is making to Australian citizens and we look forward to seeing them, and the list of wide-ranging major events successfully coordinated by our software, expand even further.’

Jim Lambley, Product Manager for Vision.

Due to the User Group’s use of Vision within their Control Centres, the software has been central to the management of numerous major events, including:

  • Over 25 New Years’ Eve celebrations
  • Mardi Gras NSW
  • Multiple dignitary visits, such as G20 summit
  • 2000 Olympics NSW
  • The Commonwealth Games Qld and NSW
  • High-rise fires in NSW
  • Large bushfires in NSW, ACT and Tasmania
  • Floods especially in Queensland
  • Train derailment incidents in NSW
